Doomlobbyn Hailing from Alexandria, Egypt, you'd never think that Viking Metal would be their thing. The same you, of course, see nothing weird about the guys in Nile.
Thorvald are really good at what they do and deserve greater recognition than they have had so far. Favorite track: Dreaming of Scandinavia.

donderbezem Viking metal from Alexandria. I'm down with that. This is a pretty solid debut. One thing I did find strange was that the first half of the album features NWOBHM vocals, and then they switch to deeper harsh vocals for the rest of the album. Perhaps I'm missing out on something conceptually, but it did strike me as a bit odd. Neither style is done badly,but I definitely enjoyed the former a bit more. Regardless, I'm still happy to support this release. Favorite track: Ragnarok: The Fall of Odin.

Thorvald was formed on November 2013 by Ahmad Mostafa (guitars and bass) and Ramii Mohamed (guitar and drums). The band's first idea was to combine Heavy Metal with Scandinavian folklore.
